Wes Hollamon

Hi, my name is Wes Hollamon. I am very excited to be a part of the lovely AMS learning community. I was born and raised in Cary, North Carolina. The mountains called to me, and led me to further my education at the University of North Carolina at Asheville.

There I graduated with a degree in History and Education, with an Africana Studies minor. While in school I learned about the Montessori teaching philosophy. While this philosophy interested me, I was never able to practice it…until now!

I have been with Asheville Montessori school for 7 years, and have loved every moment. I strive to follow the child and help facilitate their personal learning journey. I hope to make learning fun and teach the children about the vast world around them.

I have lived in Asheville for the past 12 years, and have not regretted one moment of it! I enjoy traveling our great state, reading books, supporting our local sports teams (Go Tourists and Bulldogs!), team trivia, going to movies and concerts, and exploring the blossoming food scene. I love watching children grow and learn. I am truly blessed to be a part of such a supportive learning community at Asheville Montessori School!
